The marketing team regularly publishes timely promotions and updates related to FX conversions for key currency pairs, including JPY–SGD, AUD–SGD, and USD–SGD. These communications rely on accurate, up-to-date exchange rates to remain relevant and trustworthy.

However, FX rates fluctuate rapidly, often within minutes. The current workflow requires the marketing team to request updated icons from a designer whenever rates change, creating delays that make it difficult to reflect real-time market prices. This dependency slows down publishing, increases operational friction, and limits the team’s ability to respond quickly to market movements.

The objective of this challenge is to design a flexible FX rate icon that allows the marketing team to easily and safely update exchange rate values on their own—without requiring designer intervention—while maintaining visual consistency, brand standards, and accuracy across all currency pairs.
